In my leisure time i like to play football, video games and hang out with friends. In football i play RB with number 3 on the back of my jersey. Task of Tico= Compiler/editor / group leader Greetings, my name is Luka. (left) I´m 14 years old and I am originally from Serbia but I live in the Netherlands. I live in the North close to the German border. My hobbies are gaming and cycling. Task of Luka= Researcher Hello, My name is Lars. (middle) I'm 14 years old and I live and was born in The Netherlands in the province Drenthe. My hobbies are gaming and listening to music. Task of lars= Photographer/interviewer Hello, (was in quarantine while picture was taken) My name is justin, I'm 14 years old and I live in the Netherlands. My hobby is gaming. I live in a town named ter Apel. I moved from Rotterdam to ter Apel Task of Justin=videographer researchmethods, first of all we discussed which methods seemed the best to use. Our final answer on this question was Interviewing and observation. We had everything planned everyday when we had our school breaks (when were still at school) we took a look at the cantine what kind of food they offerd to the pupils. Interviews we had planned that we would interview some janitors and record it. But then corona it ruined our plans and we had to improvise our interviewer couldn´t go to school because he was ill so we had our videographer do it. After all he did succeed getting a interview done and we managed to get an interview with lars his boss. (at lars his work) interviews, we interviewed 1 janitor and The boss of Lars Who works in The greenhouses our interviewer went to school he had it planned and he had done his interview. He also designed the questions together with the groupleader. Our goal was to interview atleast 3 janitorsand an expert but this goal was not succeeded because of corona there were only a few janitors at our school so we interviewed 1 janitor and an expert. you would probably think:¨janitors why would you interview janitors´´. first of all our teacher advised us to do this and second of all in our country the youth eats a lot especially fast food and also on schools you can find these types of ¨fast food¨ foods so i think that the janitors would know alot of it. Summary of our interview, i will show you approximately 5 questions that were asked during the interview with the answers. so with our first question we asked:´´what is actually a green meal?¨ he then replied with:¨a green meal is a meal that consists of vegetables and mostly green food. 2nd question ¨do you think our school has green meals to offer¨ he replied:¨yes, i do think that school has green meals to offer¨ when i heard this answer i thought this couldnt be right. our school has a cantine in which they offer foods that are unhealthy for children. they put these meals in front and all the healthy meals are a bit stowed away in the back. 3rd question ¨what kind of green meals has this school to offer¨ ḧe replied:¨we got green sandwiches, wraps and yoghurt.¨ 4th question ¨do you think enough pupils buy these meals¨ he replied with:¨ i don´t know i can´t really say that but i think some pupils do¨. summary of 2nd interview, what is a green meal actually? ¨a green meal is a meal that consist of a lot of green foods and vegetables and its made out of nutrients and glucoses.¨ ok, do you think the youth eats enough green meal? ¨no, i don´t think so because these days you got a lot of fast food resteraunts like the KFC, MC Donalds etc.¨ i agree with that, do you think that green meals actually help our enviremont against climate change for example. ¨yes, i think it does for example you need less meat with green meals that actually helps against climate change because there will be less CO2 emitted in the process of meat because there will be no process.¨ this was a quick summary of the 2nd interview. The last question the answer on that was actually pretty smart. because slaughter houses emit loads of CO2 but if you don´t need slaughterhouses alot it will not emit a lot of CO2 anymore. Then there will be a positive outcome for the people and for the Enviremont food habitswhat does each of our group member eat on a regular day? and how to improve that with green meals 1 Tico:¨ on a regular day i mostly start the day with a sandwich and tea. At lunchtime i mostly eat a sandwich with some water. When i´m at home i grab some chocolate. At dinner time i eat dinner for example dutch ¨stampot¨ that is potatoes with meat and vegetables sort of mixed together. i think my diet contributes a bit to global warming because the meat comes from a slaughterhouse where they use a lot of water for the meat. also the cacao in chocalate has to be shipped over the world so that also contributes a bit. 2 luka: i start of with a cheese sandwich. At lunchtime i eat a ¨tosti¨ its a toasted bread with cheese and sometimes meat. then around 4 o clock i eat an apple. At dinnertime i also eat the dutch typical stampot. i don´t really think my diet contributes a lot to the global warming problem because i eat a lot of local foods. 3, Justin: I already eat really green but here is what I eat in a day:¨When i wake up i usually also eat a cheese sandwich. In lunchtime i eat a ¨tosti¨ (we already explained what that is) between that and dinner i eat nothing. for dinner i usually just eat some vegetables.¨ As i said i already eat really green i think and i don´t think my meals dont contribute a lot to the global warming problem. devise green meals we thought of some green meals that could improve our diet. i did some research to find out if stampot was green and good for you. Conclusion is is that Stampot is really really green because it (most of the times) consist of boerenkool which has lots of vitamins and minerals. The only thing i could do is to replace the meat with vegetarian meat. i will show you a recipe of this vegetarian stampot. recipe: for 4 persons it takes about 20-25 minutes to make 900 grams of potatoes 600g of boerenkool 1 tray of vegetarian bacon 2 el of olive oil 1 vegetarian rookworst (250) grams for lunch we figured out we could improve our diet by making our own greek yoghurt 3 big spoons of greek yoghurt 1 spoon of sliced walnuts 1 spoon of sliced pistache nuts 1 spoon biological honey with the help of www.eatlowcarbon.org we could find out how our meals contributed to global warming the only thing where you encounter problems with these meals are money. meat from your local supermarket is way cheaper then goof vegetarian meat from a good supermarket. but it is a good meal so you have to do something for it but you also get something back.
conclusion of the researchthe main question was ¨how can you make meals greener?¨ the answer is simple to make meals greener and better for the enviremont you have to start of with eating less meat. Why you may ask, Well because for animals to be slaughterd a lot of water is used and in the process they emit a ton of CO2. So eating less meat is already a good beginning. After that you can look on what the products are made of and if they have been made fair. Because fair is also a part of green. With this you can see if the Workers who contributed to this product if they were treated fair and had a good payrate. comparisonour comparison with the group of india and how is there conclusion different then ours?
their conclusion was mostly about positive and negative effects on eating green. While in our conclusion we´re mostly talking about how to make meals greener and better.
